Systeminformation

Most people when asked, “What computer have you got?” are quite happy to answer, “A good one!” And usually there is no need to open the hood and get yer hands dirty. But there are times when you simply need to know more. (Or you’re of the curious kind).

Say, you have discovered, that installing more RAM on your machine might make it faster, and now you want to find out, if you can add to your PC’s memory and how much. So you make a few calls, and every time when inquiring about the memory you have to give details about your hardware.

These details you also need when you’re busy with Technical Support and they need specific information from you. Maybe you’re about to sell your machine and want to list the “ingredients” properly or it is the other way round and you need to find out, if the advertised hardware components are actually installed in your object of desire.

These data you will find with System Information Software. The software scans your PC gathering data in the following categories:

System – CPU – BIOS – Memory – Operating System – Programs – Hard Disk – Display – Network – Devices – Environment – User - Printer – System Slot

...and more. All the collected information may be saved to disk for later reuse.

At the moment, we recommend the following Free System Information Software.
