No browser, no internet.

Today’s browsers fulfil a great variety of tasks. If you choose a browser suite, many of those will be integrated and work out of the box, other browsers can be extended and adjusted almost endlessly. The suite will give you a good quick start, the ‘slim’ browser the possibility to create your personal browser. This is a big advantage, but may proof troublesome, if you do not (yet) know what exactly you need.

The list is not complete, there are more out there, but we do not recommend them. Some have proven to be very insecure; others will not fit the needs of a beginner or intermediate user. The browsers we recommend are - in our view - the best free browsers for this user group. Why don’t you install them both and find out for yourself?
